Volume 2, Baby
I am so excited to be coming at you guys with VOLUME 2 of my Precommendations series! I had so much fun with it last year, so I decided to bring it back for a second year. If you are new here, Precommendations is a series where I recommend you books before I read them and before they come out. It's my version of a monthly release series.
'Tis The Season
Happy December everyone! This is officially the last issue in my first ever volume of Precommendations. I can't believe that it's been one year since I started this series. It's the first series I've ever done on my blog, and I am so proud of myself that I've been able to stick with it. I do plan to continue with volume two next year, so you can count on another issue in January just like always.
Better Late than Never...?
Hello, everyone! Nothing like bringing some November releases to you halfway through the month, am I right? I know, I know, some of you are probably upset that all of these books will have been released by the time you can read this, but you know what? That's okay! (And that's also what I'm going to keep telling myself as I shrink into my blogging hole and cry about it for while. [Just kidding])
I am so excited for October...changing leaves, cool weather, and not to mention new book releases! There are a bunch of books that I am (not-so-patiently) waiting to be released this month (Because aren't we all? Just give me the books already! ALL THE BOOKS!). I am also excited to learn what you guys are looking forward to, so be sure to let me know in the comments!
Far from the Tree, by: Robin Benway
And Joaquin, their stoic older bio brother, who has no interest in bonding over their shared biological mother. After seventeen years in the foster care system, he’s learned that there are no heroes, and secrets and fears are best kept close to the vest, where they can’t hurt anyone but him.
This book is definitely not something I would typically go for, but I am actually very excited to see how it is received by the book community. After doing a bit of research on the author, I saw that she is also the author of Emmy & Oliver, which I haven't read, but remember hearing good things about it when it came out. (I also am IN LOVE with this cover. It's like fall threw up all over it.) Overall, I don't know a whole lot about this book, so if you have any more insight about it, I would love to hear from you!
So Many Books!
I can't believe that September is almost here! School has arrived, which means new adventures, new things to learn, and, most importantly, new books to read! Be sure to let me know which book you are most looking forward to this month.
They Both Die at the End, by: Adam Silvera
I haven't ever read an Adam Silvera book before, but I have been meaning to for a while, and this one sounds so interesting. The concept of Death being a character in any story always appeals to me for some reason, and the take that this book sounds like it is going to take on Death sounds very unique. I also love the way this book gives off the "life's next great adventure" vibe, and I can't wait to see where it leads.
I can't believe that I am officially over halfway done with this volume of Precommendations! This series has been so much fun to do, and I am so glad I started it back in January. If you have any ideas for new series, please let me know in the comments on what types of posts you would like to see from me.
There really aren't very many YA books coming out in July, so this issue of Precommendations is kind of short. If I missed any of your most anticipated reads, let me know in the comments as well!
Summer is Here!
Another month, another issue of Precommendations! June brings us summer, adventures, and of course, new books! Summer is one of my favorite reading seasons, because not only is there more time to read, the books also reflect what I'm doing in real life. So, without further adieu, here are the books that I'm looking forward to the most in June.
