risen from barrow mounds, Isobel and Rook depend on one another for survival. Their alliance blossoms into trust, then love, violating the fair folks’ ruthless Good Law. There's only one way to save both their lives, Isobel must drink from the Green Well, whose water will transform her into a fair one—at the cost of her Craft, for immortality is as stagnant as it is timeless.
Isobel has a choice: she can sacrifice her art for a future, or arm herself with paint and canvas against the ancient power of the fairy courts. Because secretly, her Craft represents a threat the fair folk have never faced in all the millennia of their unchanging lives: for the first time, her portraits have the power to make them feel.

#TBRBookTag - An Event Where Ashton Continues to Cower at All the Books She Still Has to Read10/22/2017 TBRs Before we start, I want to take a moment to say that in the grand scheme of things, I have a very small pile of books (physically, mind you) that serves as my TBR pile. The problem is all the books I want to read I don't actually own. If you were to decide to scroll through my Goodreads shelf, (which I don't recommend.) you will find the equivalent of a never-ending black hole filled with books. I'd say it's safe to say my entire TBR is a bit extensive, so let's answer some questions about it! My current (physical) TBR Pile.
The goal is to finish them all before the new year. :)
Tella whisks Scarlett away to the show. Only, as soon as they arrive, Tella is kidnapped by Caraval’s mastermind organizer, Legend. It turns out that this season’s Caraval revolves around Tella, and whoever finds her first is the winner.
Scarlett has been told that everything that happens during Caraval is only an elaborate performance. Nevertheless she becomes enmeshed in a game of love, heartbreak, and magic. And whether Caraval is real or not, Scarlett must find Tella before the five nights of the game are over or a dangerous domino effect of consequences will be set off, and her beloved sister will disappear forever. Welcome, welcome to Caraval…beware of getting swept too far away. Fall Releases I am so excited for October...changing leaves, cool weather, and not to mention new book releases! There are a bunch of books that I am (not-so-patiently) waiting to be released this month (Because aren't we all? Just give me the books already! ALL THE BOOKS!). I am also excited to learn what you guys are looking forward to, so be sure to let me know in the comments! Far from the Tree, by: Robin Benway
And Joaquin, their stoic older bio brother, who has no interest in bonding over their shared biological mother. After seventeen years in the foster care system, he’s learned that there are no heroes, and secrets and fears are best kept close to the vest, where they can’t hurt anyone but him. This book is definitely not something I would typically go for, but I am actually very excited to see how it is received by the book community. After doing a bit of research on the author, I saw that she is also the author of Emmy & Oliver, which I haven't read, but remember hearing good things about it when it came out. (I also am IN LOVE with this cover. It's like fall threw up all over it.) Overall, I don't know a whole lot about this book, so if you have any more insight about it, I would love to hear from you!
