MAYAurora Rising

I have to preface this one by saying AMIE KAUFMAN IS A GENIUS and anything she writes turns to gold. So, of course, I’m excited about this one. Also, the Illuminae series is perfection, and if you haven’t read that trilogy, get off your book and into a bookstore right this second. I love space-adventure stories, too, so this one was bound to make it on this list.

Finale
by Stephanie Garber
The Caraval series has been a part of my life for two summers in a row, so you can bet yourself I’ll be picking up this beauty in the next couple of months. Stephanie Garber has magic dripping from her fingertips, and the Caraval world is such a unique one to read. Since the first two books focus more on Scarlet and Tella separately, I’m hoping Finale utilizes their bond, and we get to see them together throughout the story.

Somewhere Only We Know
by Maurene Goo
Last summer, Maurene Goo shot her way to the top of my favorite contemporary authors after reading The Way You Make Me Feel. Her writing is light, cute, and absolutely hilarious, which is everything I look for when I am on the hunt for a romance book. This book sounds like the perfect beach read, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Ghosts of the Shadow Market
by Cassandra Clare
Another Shadowhunter anthology? Of course, I’m excited. That is all.

Virtually Yours
by Sarvenaz Tash
As someone who prides herself of being “one with the nerds,” I love books about geeky, online love. I read another one of Sarvenaz Tash’s books, The Geek’s Guide to Unrequited Love, about three years ago and adored it, so I have a feeling this one will be just as cute. I’m also about to be a college freshman, and it’ll be fun to read a book about a girl who is experiencing the same life events as me.

Storm and Fury
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I’m not sure how many of you are aware of this since I don’t talk about it as much as I should, but Jennifer L. Armentrout was one of the first authors who got me into reading. The Lux series was my version of Twilight back in 2014. As a thirteen-year-old, I was utterly obsessed, and I’m almost positive it’s the first series I ever owned physical copies of (and, just so we’re clear, I’m talking the Special Collector's Editions. Obsessed). Since I haven’t read one of Jen’s books since middle school, I think it would be so much fun to go back to my roots and read another one of her series. Hopefully, she is just as amazing as I remember.
