My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.
But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.
Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.

My Rating: ★★★★★

Everything, Everything was a fantastic contemporary read. I picked this book up expecting something cheesy and cliche, and set it down with my heart swelling with love. It was one of the best contemporaries I read this year. Props to Nicola Yoon for being a fabulous writer. Keep doing what you're doing.
Overall, one of my favorite parts of this novel was how relatable, funny, and real the charaters were. Even with Maddie having the illness she has, she is still a very relatable character, especially since we have a few of the same aspects in our lives. She is a reader, has her own blog, and has a great relationship with her mom.
Another aspect that made this book such a great one, was the quality of writing that this book contained. Nicola Yoon did a fantastic job at putting this story into words. Without the writing style this book had, there was a good chance that the book could've been very cheesy and cliche.
I really adored this book, and if you're looking for a cute contemporary to break up your wintery reads, this one is definitley for you.

What did you think of Nicola Yoon's first novel? Let me know in the comments below!

As she awaits new books for Christmas,

It's 2:32 a.m. and I can't think of anything else more lovely to do in the quiet of the wee small hours of the morning than to read your delightful blog. I'm looking forward to reading your post about the book I started while staying with you, and I'm looking forward to finishing it when I stay with you, again. Neither of these are better than just staying with you. ;) This book has been added to my list of "Books to Borrow from Ashton", as well. And did you know there are only 6 days left until you are 16? Keep reading and keep writing. You are amazing, and I adore you!
