Audiobooks In the last few months, I have really taken to audiobooks. Since my senior year has started, I haven’t had as much time to sit down and read as I have had in the past. So, after about a week of school, I decided I would need to squeeze in reading wherever I could. I listen to audiobooks everyday in art class and when I go on runs. It’s a perfect way to add reading back into your day without having to make time for it. Without the entirety of The Twilight Saga on audiobook, I wouldn’t have read anything this past semester. Socks If you have visited my blog for more than five minutes, you will know bookish socks are my KRYPTONITE. So I think for this one, I’ll let the pictures do the talking… Book Subscription Boxes Two Christmases ago, my mom got me a subscription to Uppercase, and I immediately fell in love. They always have to cutest book themed items and fabulous books. I always know Uppercase is going to provide me with a great story, whether I’ve heard of the book or not. It’s great if you are prone to book hangover, too, because sometimes the books aren’t anything you’d usually pick for yourself and end up being one of your favorites. Movie Adaptations Getting one of my favorite books turned into a spectacular movie is one of the best experiences. The moment I see everything I’ve imagined in the story come to life before my eyes fantastic. Some of my favorite adaptations are To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, the first Divergent movie, and Love, Simon. I’m hoping to start watching all of the Twilight movies very soon since I wanted to wait and watch them after I finished reading all of the books. Harry Potter World at Universal Studios, Florida I’ve been to Universal twice in my life, and both times were dreams come true. It has been the only time I’ve ever been able to set foot in a fantasy world. Words can’t begin to describe the first time we went through the brick wall into Diagon Alley. I also got to visit Hogsmeade and the Hogwarts Castle. I’m so thankful that my mom has taken me to visit on two separate occasions; they are two of the best trips I’ve ever been on. Online Book Friendships I can’t talk about being thankful on the internet without mention all of the amazing friendships I’ve made because of this online presence. This past year I have read two books with two beautiful ladies on Instagram (The Queen’s Rising with @bookish.nurse2 and Jane Eyre with @the_girlonthegoreads) and have made friends with others along the way. I can’t wait to see these friendships grow and for more to start as I continue my blogging career. (So if you’re looking for a new book pal, I’m your girl! <3) My Family Without my family’s constant love and support of my nerdiness, I wouldn’t be here today. Their support means the world to me, and they do everything from buying me books to reading my blog and social media posts every day. I love you guys. My biggest thank you goes out to my second family: the wonderful group of you who read these posts. Without you guys, this blog wouldn’t be possible, and I would be some weird girl who rambled out books on her computer. Sending you lots of love and hugs! I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving! Enjoy spending time with the people and things you love most! With gratitude, Ashton Let's Discuss!
