Hello, bookish people! I’ve been wanting to do a tag to tell you all a little more about me, but I just couldn’t find the right one to share with you. So, after a little over two weeks of being eighteen, I thought it would be perfect for finding eighteen books that relate to “fun facts” about me. The books could connect to me through their title, plot, or cover, and they are everything from significant events in my life to small quirks. Let’s do this.

  1. Turtles All the Way Down - I have a blog! (Haha. I had to start out with the basics.) Just like Davis, I have a place to express myself on the internet, although I’m a little more vocal about my posts. ;)
  2. Foolish Hearts - I am a certified Theatre Nerd ™. I participated in all eight of my high school drama productions, and my mom and I get season passes every summer to the local regional theatre. We haven’t missed a show in over two years, and I don't planning on missing any this year, either.
  3. Rayne & Delilah’s Midnite Matinee - I also love movies. Star Wars and the Marvel Cinematic Universe are my favorites, but I’ll watch just about anything.
  4. Starry Eyes - I love being outdoors, and I especially enjoy hiking. I think it’s so peaceful and calming.
  5. The Unexpected Everything - I LOOOOVVVEEEE dogs. Love them. They are my all-time favorite animal, and I would kill to be a professional dog walker.
  6. Love and First Sight - I’m not blind by any means, but my eyes are awful. I’ve had glasses since the first grade, and I plan to get laser eye surgery after college.
  7. Everything All At Once - I have a weird obsession with creating bucket lists and love to push myself outside my comfort zone.
  8. Dreamology - I like being able to remember my dreams, and sometimes I use them as inspiration for my writing.
  9. Spinning Silver - I’m kind of a money hoarder...I don’t like to spend my money on whims, and when I do buy things, I usually think about it for at least a week, even if it’s small.
  10. We Should Hang Out Sometime - My sense of humor is very sarcastic and a little self-deprecating. (Also, I’m super awkward when it comes to boys.)
  11. Warcross - I’ve always been a video game nerd even though I don’t have much time to play them anymore. My favorites are Super Smash Bros., Pokemon, and Minecraft. (I think this is what has led to my obsession with video-game books.)
  12. Cinder - I love to work with my hands. I like traditional art, such as painting and drawing, but I also love to DIY things around my house. I’ll create just about anything.
  13. Autoboyography - I am working on my own book. Much to your disappointment, it’s not a fiction book. My dad and I are working together to write a book for girls and their parents who are going into travel softball, and it’s going to be a collection of everything we wish we knew when we started and what we’ve learned along the way.
  14. The Sun is Also a Star - Cities give my LIFE. Every time I make a trip to a city, I always feel like anything can happen. It gives me so much inspiration, and bonus points if I take a train to get there.
  15. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before - Though I wasn’t the perfecter of the recipe, my family has a world-famous, super-secret chocolate chip cookie recipe to rival Lara Jean’s (Thanks, Mom).
  16. We Were Liars - I know there are some people out there who hate surprises, but I love them. Surprise gift? Make my day. Random trip for food? I’m in. That Amazon package you forgot you ordered? Perfect (especially if it’s books).
  17. The Way You Make Me Feel - I am working my first job this summer! Since I’ve been so involved in my high school these past four years, I haven’t had time to work. This summer, I’ve applied to be the front desk person at my local pool (fingers crossed I get it).
  18. Love & Gelato - Though I’m not going to Italy specifically, I am traveling to Europe this summer. My family is stopping in Iceland for a few days before going to Germany for a week!

Whew. Some of those were a bit of a stretch, but those are 18 things you should know about me. And if you are a fellow blogger, consider yourself tagged! Make sure to link back to this post if you do your own version, and maybe this tag will become ultra famous. Who knows?

Your tagger,
Ashton
